MAKE

MAKE is a monthly creative gathering built around curiosity, exploration, and shared creativity. It’s a place to make weird stuff with your hands, and enjoy the process and the company without pressure.

As kids, we’re encouraged to be creative—to play, explore, and express without pressure. But somewhere along the way, that freedom fades. We stop making things just for the joy of it. Most people I meet believe they aren’t creative at all. I believe the opposite: creativity lives in all of us. When we tap into it, we reconnect not only with ourselves, but with the people around us. Creativity is a rad portal to healing, presence, and real connection.

That belief is the foundation of MAKE, the monthly creative series I co-host with Mara Altman. Each gathering invites people of all kinds and skill levels to explore hands-on experiences—ranging from moss art and shibori dyeing to kintsugi, tiny wheel ceramics, cookie and cake decorating, and much more.

At its core, MAKE is about more than just making things—it’s about making time, making space, and making meaning. It’s a celebration of creativity as a path to wellness, connection, and joy. Check out our past MAKES on Instagram.
