MAKE
As kids, we’re encouraged to be creative—to play, explore, and express without pressure. But somewhere along the way, that freedom fades. We stop making things just for the joy of it. Most people I meet believe they aren’t creative at all. I believe the opposite: creativity lives in everyone. When we tap into it, we reconnect not only with ourselves, but with the people around us. Creativity opens the door to healing, presence, and real connection.
That belief is the foundation of MAKE, the monthly creative series I co-host with Mara Altman. Each gathering invites people of all kinds and skill levels to explore hands-on experiences—ranging from moss art and shibori dyeing to kintsugi, tiny wheel ceramics, cookie and cake decorating, and much more.
At its core, MAKE is about more than just making things—it’s about making time, making space, and making meaning. It’s a celebration of creativity as a path to wellness, connection, and joy. Keep an eye out for our next one over on The Rainbow’s website.
